A banner/poster design competition to raise awareness about the 500 Colored Pencils product
The 500 Colored Pencils program supports UNESCO DREAM Centers – 1 set out of every 100 sold is donated to UNESCO to support arts education for underprivileged children around the world.
OVERVIEW
Felissimo is launching an inspirational new product called the 500 Colored Pencils, a subscription of 500 different colored pencils. Every month a set of 25 pencils is delivered to the purchaser; like a gift that reveals itself slowly over the time, the full set of pencils is acquired over a period of 20 months. Each pencil has its own hue and its own unique name – together they suggest infinite possibilities.
DESIGN BRIEF
This competition calls for the design of either a set of online banners or a print poster that promotes this unique and creative product. These pieces may be used in promotional campaigns for the 500 Pencils.
You design must include:
• A key message and approach that sparks curiosity and interest in the 500 Colored Pencils product and subscription program and drives people to the pencil website: http://500pencils.socialdesigner.com
• A campaign design for either a set of 2 online banners or a print poster. Judges are looking for fresh and fun messages and designs that do not necessarily match the look and tone of the website.
There are two distinct entry categories for this competition: a set of 2 banners; and a poster. If you choose to enter both categories, you must enter each separately. This is because there is provision to upload only 1 image for your entry.
Dimensions for banners:
Banner 1: 400 x 90 pixels
Banner 2: 300 x 200 pixels
Important: Both banners must be shown together in 1 image (500 x 500 pixels) – do not create separate entries for each.
Dimensions for poster:
B4 format: 250 x 353 mm / 9.84 x 13.90 inches
Although the online entry provision (a 500 x 500 pixel image) does not allow for the full B4 size, your entry show the entire poster design scaled to the B4 proportions.
