OVERVIEW
Felissimo is launching an inspirational new product called 500 Colored Pencils, a subscription of 500 different colored pencils. Every month a set of 25 pencils is delivered to the purchaser; like a gift that reveals itself slowly over time, the full set of pencils is acquired over a period of 20 months. Each pencil has its own hue and its own unique name – together they suggest infinite possibilities. This is the second in a series of competitions devoted to 500 Colored Pencils. DESIGN BRIEF
This competition calls for the design of a case for the complete 500 Colored Pencils set. Your design may propose a way or various ways to house the pencils whether it's for storage, display, transportation, or any combination of these functions. Felissimo, producers of 500 Colored Pencils, is looking for innovative, creative designs to go with this unique creative product.

• Briefly, the basic materials and construction of the case
Note: The Felissimo logo must not be used.
You can upload up to 6 images (after selecting one image, the "Browse" box will reappear allowing you to select another). You can also enter as many times as you like.
Pencil dimensions
The approximate length of a single pencil is 17.5cm or 6 7/8"
The approximate width of a single pencil is 7mm or 5/16"
PRIZE
$1000 plus a set of 500 Colored Pencils to the winning design.
The winner will also have the opportunity to attend 100% Design Tokyo (October 30 - November 3, 2009) during Tokyo Designers Week where their winning design will be presented. Passes to 100% Design, flight and accommodation in Tokyo will be provided.
Judges may award up to 2 Honorable Mentions to receive a set of 500 Colored Pencils
JURY
The winners will be selected by Felissimo. In addition, there will be a public voting period (see dates below) to determine the most popular entry which will automatically go into the final round of judging.
JUDGING CRITERIA
• How innovative and creative is the design solution?
• How strong is the design aesthetically?
• How strong is the design functionally?
The judges' decisions are final.
