Illustrate a story as told by a kid for a t-shirt graphic. To be judged by Leah Taylor of Flavorpill NYC with the winner benefiting 826 National.
20% of the profits benefit 826 National
Have you ever been told a funny or imaginative story by a child? An original story or tale straight from the mind of a child that amused you, made you smile or laugh at its... inventiveness. We're looking for drawings inspired by stories told by kids – something that will look good on a t-shirt (worn by adults, not kids). You can illustrate just a single scene or line from the story or the overall scenario.
Our guest judge for this competition is Leah Taylor, Managing Editor of Flavorpill NYC. Leah will pick the winner to be awarded $2000 and printed onto the front of a t-shirt. The winning shirt will be sold here to benefit the children's creative writing non-profit 826 National.
This competition is for 826 National, in the Education category.
Your design can use up to 6 colors (including black) and must not exceed the maximum print area of 12 inches x 14 inches.
Judging Criteria
We are looking for positive imagery with contemporary, graphically appealing designs.
Your design should not include or make any reference to any particular region, culture, religion, conflict, politics or commercial entity, nor should it pose or connote negative sentiments or imagery.
The 826 National logo must not appear on the design nor should the logos of any other organization or brand. Your entry must not mention or refer to 826 National.
Entries with logos or with negative or undesirable content such as those described above will be removed.
Based on the winning design, we will decide the exact print location of the winning design and color of t-shirt it will be printed on.
