A t-shirt competition inspired by the mixtape with guest judge Rebecca Davis of NYLON, and the winning shirt benefiting Chez Panisse Foundation.
20% of the profits benefit Chez Panisse Foundation
Writer/editor Geoffrey O'Brien has called the personal mixtape "the most widely practiced American art form."
The "mixtape" is our inspiration for this t-shirt design competition. Let the word "mixtape" and all its connotations – thematic, personalized, curated, collaged, a statement greater than the sum of its parts – serve as the metaphoric launchpad for your design.
Our guest judge for this competition is NYLON magazine's web editor Rebecca Davis. Rebecca's pick will be printed onto the front of a t-shirt and sold here to benefit Chez Panisse Foundation. The winner will also receive $2000.
Your design can use up to 6 colors (including black) and must not exceed the maximum print area of 12 inches x 14 inches.
Judging Criteria
We are looking for positive imagery with contemporary, graphically appealing designs.
Your design should not include or make any reference to any particular region, culture, religion, conflict, politics or commercial entity, nor should it pose or connote negative sentiments or imagery.
The Chez Panisse Foundation logo must not appear on the design nor should the logos of any other organization or brand. Your entry must not mention or refer to Chez Panisse Foundation.
Entries with logos or with negative or undesirable content such as those described above will be removed.
Based on the winning design, we will decide the exact print location of the winning design and color of t-shirt it will be printed on.
The judges' decisions are final.
